| The Lambda 10 Project - National Clearinghouse for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,
Transgender Fraternity & Sorority Issues works to heighten the visibility of gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgender members of the college fraternity by serving as a clearinghouse for educational resources and educational materials related to sexual orientation
and gender identity/express as it relates to the fraternity/sorority experience. The Project created the first educational resources solely dedicated to this topic titled
Out on Fraternity Row: Personal Accounts of Being Gay in a College Fraternity released by Alyson Publications, Inc in 1998 and
Secret Sisters: Stories of Being Lesbian & Bisexual in a College Sorority released by Alyson Publications, Inc. in April 2001.
The Lambda 10 Project is an educational initiative of
Campus
Pride, the leading national nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) for LGBT
and Ally student leaders and campus groups. Every year the
Lambda 10 Project hosts an annual event welcoming fraternity and
sorority professionals with the Association of Fraternity
Advisors and also works to create new resources, books, training
manuals for free online distribution and for sale in the shop.
The Project is entirely volunteer-driven and relies on
charitable donations to continue programs and services across the United States & Canada.
