PEER SUPPORT
How Do You Create a PILLAR
Support Group on Campus?

The following checklists are suggested as a guide for creating a climate of acceptance in fraternities and sororities--a climate where a brother/sister who is gay/lesbian/bisexual may feel a sense of safety and support among his brothers/sisters.

Lessons Learned from a
Straight Fraternity Man

Each of us as straight fraternity brothers has a role to play as an ally, standing up for our gay brothers in the fraternity. The lessons I have learned have not been simple, but the path continues to be one where together I hope we can fulfill the promise of brotherhood to any fraternity brother.  These are some of the lessons I have learned along the way…
